The Art of Gift Wrapping

My hope for this page is to begin with the basic steps to
wrapping a gift and then build from there.  I will show
how to wrap various ribbons to gifts as well as
attach many different bows and embellishments
to gifts.

I will also show how to wrap a gift in cello and add
ribbons bows etc. as well as to show how to
make some of the most amazing fun filled
gift baskets.

Visit often to see what different types of wrapping
can be done to take your wrapped gifts to a whole
new level.

Let's begin with how to wrap a gift.

Cut your paper according to the size of your gift to be wrapped
and carefully place you gift upside down as shown

Fold the ends in about an inch or so.  This helps
to make the seams look more finished.

Fold one end over the wrapped gift as shown

Fold the opposite end over as shown.
I try and make is so that the seam
is as close to the centre of the gift as
possible.  Gives the gift a more
finished look.  Tape seam closed

Start at one end of the gift and fold side in as
shown

Crease bottom flap as shown

Crease top flap as shown

Fold in opposite side as shown

Crease bottom and top flaps as shown

On top flap fold in the edge to form a neat folded edge as shown

Fold in bottom flap to form a neat folded
edge as shown

Fold down top flap against gift as shown

Fold up bottom flap against gift as shown
and tape closed.  Repeat on opposite side.

Turn gift right side up and there you have a wrapped
gift.

Now that you know how to wrap a gift let's continue.
I have video's below to show you how to add
different ribbons to your wrapped gift.

This first video will show you how to add the above ribbon
to your gift

Now that you have learned how to wrap a gift with
wrapping paper I want to show you how you can
wrap a gift in Cello.  We will use this 3" X 3" candle.
This is another option for wrapping gifts.  It has
to be one of my favourites.

Watch the video below and see how you can have the following
two looks using two different methods of wrapping

You have a gift to wrap.  Let me help you do something amazing with that gift.  Look at the pink and white box - top right corner of picture.  I'm going to use this to give you one option of what you can do.  Add a few extra little things and watch what happens...

As well as the items above, I've added an empty box that I've wrapped with a lovely silver paper with hearts.  Here is what your gift could look like.

This is just one option.  In the weeks and months to come I will be showing several different ideas how you can make your gift the "one" everyone wants to receive.
The video below will show you step by step how I wrapped the gift above.
