Anniversary

Today I'm playing along with another challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.  It's Thursday's challenge, Ways To Use It.  The item being asked to use this week, Die Cuts

Hmmmmm, die cuts.  Well, I wanted to make a card for my wonderful husband as it's our anniversary today, but die cuts???  Eeeeesh, I probably wouldn't have used one on his card (I'm not quite sure why), but this is why I love challenges so much.  It takes you out of your comfort zone and it sure did for me on this one.  I was trying to think how I could make a masculine card using the dies I had.  Once I found the paper I was going to use, everything else just sort of fell into place.  I hope he likes it.

For this one, I used a larger card than normal 8 1/2" X 5 1/2"
It's a pre bought half fold card with a feathered edge.  I attached designer paper to the front of the card, I used a second card to print (and cut to desired sizes) the wording for the front of the card and for the verse on the inside.  Both the wording for front and inside verse were created using Microsoft Word.
Die - Embosslits - Scalloped Heart of Hearts
Accessories - Crystal effects was applied to the heart for a shiny finish and a faux heart shaped pearl was used for an embellishment

Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it!
Wishing you many wonderful creations.
Thanks for visiting.
