Post It Notes With A Garden Flair

I thought I would do something a little different today.  Rather than play along with a challenge or make a card I decided to make some cute little post it note holders. 

I'm headed out to cut the lawn and play in my garden and was inspired to make today's project a bit
garden-ishy, is that even a word? 

Aren't they prettiful (another new word I made up)?  I love having these little guys in my purse.  I'm often forgetting to pick up things while I'm out and these are perfect little tools to help eliminate that problem.  I'll keep a few of these made up ahead of time as they come in handy to hand out as a little unexpected gift.

For the base of the folder I cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/4" X 7 1/2"
I scored the cardstock at 3 1/2" and 4"

For the outside of the folder I cut 2 pieces of designer paper (DCWV) 3" X 3".  These are for the front and the back of the folder.
I cut 1 piece of cardstock matching the base colour (you can use a contrasting colour) and adhered it to the middle of the 3" X 3" piece of designer paper as shown

For the inside of the folder I cut 2 pieces of matching cardstock (I used green to co ordinate) and adhered them to the top and bottom of the inside

Embellish  I added a flower embellishment to one front and a vase with flowers to the other.   These are so fun to make up and quick as well.  There are many different sizes of post it notes out there so the fun is endless making up folders for the different sizes.
