Joy ......

It's crazy how fast these days, weeks and months are zooming by.  I just had a look at the calendar for this week and saw that the middle of September is on Thursday!  Are you kidding me?

Yesterday I overheard someone saying that we'll be having a warmer than usual Fall and Winter.  Won't that be nice after last years winter being so bitterly cold (brrrrr).  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!  I only hope we don't pay for it come Springtime.

AND.....speaking of Winter (here's where I scare all those "not ready for Christmas" people away),  I have gone and made another Christmas card.  (Yipee, look at me getting all so organized!)  I'm hoping to be good and ready for this Holiday Season .... with my Christmas cards that is.

Wanting to do a little embossing, I thought I might try to incorporate that with some of my ornament stamps ....here is what I came up with.

I was quite happy with the way this card turned out being a little hesitant on using black embossing powder for the ornaments.

I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the ornaments where I wanted them which worked out really well.  It helped to place everything on the card - just so.

Here we have 4 different Poinsettia, leaves, holly and pine embellishments with a little rhinestone bling to finish it off.  Gotta have a little bling.

I'm entering this card into two challenges today,
Christmas Cards All Year Long - September Challenge
CraftyHazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Swirls

Here is a list of items that I used.

Kraft Card
Paper - Stampin Up Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Black and Real Red
Stamps - Stampin Up Delightful Decorations, Here Arts Music Background
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Tim Holtz flourishes die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Stampendous Midnight Black embossing powder, Inkssentials Watermark resist, K & Co. Poinsettia embellishments and Red rhinestones.
Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it!
Wishing you many wonderful creations

  6. I love red and black and thing your card looks fantastic. The music background is great and the poinsettia in the corner is a lovely touch. Have to admit I am jealous of those who are working on Christmas already when I am still getting my room back together and thinking Halloween.
