I'm not going to assume that everyone knows what a "Random Act Of Kindness" (RAK as the Crafty people call it) is so, I want to share my RAK experience with you. I started blogging for the first time ever - the beginning of this year and to be honest, I didn't even know what I was getting into. I have found a whole new world. A place to share and express what I love to do, craft! No one judges anyone and so many people are so willing to leave encouraging words of support! Heck, you can even win some really great stuff just for joining in and sharing your own creations! Doesn't that sound wonderful? That's what I'm talking about! It's a lot of fun and everyone is just like you and me. I highly recommend blogging. You don't need to be anything but yourself when you blog, that's the beauty of it. So, getting back to the Random Act of Kindness thingy, I received something in the mail today that made me a bit Verklempt, not going to lie!
You see, there is this beautiful person named Gay. Gay is the publisher of an amazing blog called Crafty Musings and she makes some of the most creative cards I've seen. Gay is also on a Design Team which she works effortlessly for, or so it seems anyways, and comes up with some really terrific ideas and offers some fabulous inspiration. While visiting her blog as I regularly do, I saw this particular card that made me stop and stare. I love Christmas and I'm always looking for new ideas and inspiration. Gay's card was so simple and yet so elegant. Less is More as you might say! That's an entire blog post on it's own but this card of Gay's did something to me. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it! I loved the texture, the colours and how simple yet sophisticated it was. We all love what we love and I personally fell in love with this card ...immediately. I left a comment for Gay letting her know that it was the prettiest card I'd seen. Because of my comment, Gay wanted me to have her card. She wanted me to have the card!! As expected, I couldn't accept her card. She worked hard to make it and cards cost money, it's the Christmas season and we all have people we need to send cards to. She wouldn't have it! Gay truly wanted me to have it and how could I say no? Today I picked up my mail to find her beautiful card. Thank you so much Gay! I can't tell you how I felt when I saw the card in person AND, it came all the way from the UK - to me! I was so touched! Verklempt to say the least. Your card Gay has made me feel that my new found love of blogging is so worth it. This is what Crafters call a Random Act Of Kindness (RAK) and it's a wonderful thing let me tell you.
There are so many RAK that happen, it's overwhelming. When I read blogs and see the kindness in people - it truly amazes me. When you find something you love to do and people share the same passion...it's unbelievable how the love is shared. Thank you Gay and thank you to all my followers who take the time to visit and leave comments. You are what makes me want to continue. I wondered when I started if I was blogging to cyberspace and if anyone would even read my blog. I can't tell you how excited I was to receive my first comment! Where else can you share globally your interests and passions? It's nice to give back and to Pay It Forward! Here's to all the bloggers out there....Thank You! You do make a difference!
Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it!
Wishing you many wonderful creations!
