The Basic Bow ....

...for many things!

I'm adding another video showing a different style of bow this time, again using 1 1/2 yards of ribbon.  The beauty of these videos is that you're able to follow along at the same time.  Don't get discouraged if it doesn't work out the first time because it took me more than a few tries to get it right.  I have to apologize though, I made a mistake not twisting on the third loop.  I can't believe I did that but I do point it out so you don't make the same error.

Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it!
Wishing you many wonderful creations!

How To Make A Bow....

.....with a yard and 1/2 of ribbon.

Honestly.....bows are things I can do in my sleep!  I can't tell you how many I've made during my 20+ years of decorating.  Having said that, this was the most difficult bow I have ever made!  All I can say is between phone calls during the video, dogs barking, a dying battery and fumbling my words...it was a day long event!  Then, I had to upload it to YouTube.  Why does it take so long?

Enough about that, let's get to the bow.

Here is a picture of the finished bow

This is just the beginning, I will have more styles of bows to follow!

Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it.
Wishing you many wonderful creations!

Ribbon Bow

I thought today that I would show how to make this beautiful "classy" ribbon bow.  You can do so much with bows and the thing I love most is that there are many different kinds.  Create different bows by changing the colour of ribbon, the size of the ribbon, the size of the bow or even just adding a little bling.  Use your imagination and have fun!

Here I have shown a gift wrapped using 3 bows

A ribbon bow has been added to a candle

Entertaining?

Do it with style!
Have fun and use your imagination.  You just might
surprise yourself.

My First YouTube Video

I've finally posted my first YouTube video.  What an ordeal!  I spent the better part of a week trying to figure out how to upload my video.  I did everything I was supposed to do.  I read all the instructions.  I recorded and re recorded the same thing over and over until I wanted to scream, hoping that maybe the next time this video would upload.  It turns out, I am not alone. It looks so easy. Well, I'm here to tell you it wasn't, at least for me.  I was beside myself.  Every time I saw that error message I couldn't believe it.  I even printed the step by step instructions and followed exactly what it said.  Over and over again I would record and upload, and that dreaded error message would pop up.  Then, out of the blue, I clicked on upload and  my video was loading.  What the heck.  What did I do differently.  Nothing!   I was so excited you wouldn't believe it.  Then, there I sat.  Two hours later the video was finished uploading and now available on YouTube.  Oh dear.....I panicked.  It wasn't the one where every word I said made sense, flowed with no pauses.  Why couldn't that video upload?  Why was this happening?  I sounded so good on the 13 try.  Why?  Well, there was nothing I could do.  So, this is the video you'll see.  The one everyone will see!  Argh!

I know I will only get better and so will the video's.
