A Little Touch Of Christmas

Nothing wrong with a little touch of Christmas now and then, is there?  You can never be too ready for the Holiday Season and one more card made now means one less to make later, right?  Absolutely is what I say, after all....I am an elf!

I was pretty excited when I saw the Colour Challenge this week at Splitcoast Stampers.  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Melon Mambo where the three colours chosen and if you don't have those exact colours you may use the closest colours you have.  These colours are fantastic and when combined with Christmas it's pure magic!  Another challenge I'm going to play along with is The Christmas Card Challenge and the challenge this week is to use die cuts on your Christmas card.  You are able to use your own die cutting machine or store bought dies.

Grabbing all the materials I needed I sat down and began to create, here is what I came up with.

I used two different border punches for this card.  One is the Stampin Up scalloped edge punch and the other is from Martha Stewart.  The designer paper is from K & Co. as is the poinsettia and holly embellishments.  I used Copic markers to colour the image and Dazzling Diamonds for her fur.  The card is a 5" X 7" Kraft card for the suede colour and the cardstock is crumb cake and another colour I chose to match to as close as I could get to melon mambo.  I added a little bit of lace and used labels 21 for the die required in the Christmas Card Challenge.  The sentiment is from Stampabilities and the ink used to sponge on and for the sentiment was matched to the melon coloured cardstock and from Portafolia.

Wherever you are in your day, I hope you're enjoying it!
Wishing you many wonderful creations.
